5 year old approached by unknown man in Aldershot

An appeal for information has been launched following a suspicious incident in Aldershot.

A 5 year old boy was with his sister when he was approached by an unknown man who asked the child to come with him.

It happened on Thursday 28th April at around 3:20pm at the junction of Vine Street and Lysons Road.

The boy was not injured and returned safely home with his sister.

Police say they would like to speak to a man, who was seen in the area at the time, in connection with this incident.

He is described as:

Asian

Aged in his 30s-40s

Approximately 6ft tall

Of medium build

Scruffy, dark hair

Wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, white Nike Airforce trainers and a long black coat.

He drove away from the area in a black Vauxhall car with black and silver alloys.

Hampshire Police say an investigation into this incident is ongoing and they are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances.
