Body found in search for missing man from Woking
Police say a body found in near Goldsworth Park Lake in Woking on Monday night (31 July) is believed to be that of a missing man.
Officers had been searching for 36 year old Gary since 14 July.
In a statement Surrey Police said:
"Although formal identification is yet to take place, Gary’s family are aware and are being given the appropriate support. Our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
"Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death, although it is not believed to be suspicious or that there is any third party involvement at this time.
"We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal and assisted with the search."
