Body found in Thames believed to be missing Woking man

A body believed to be that of a missing Woking man has been found in the River Thames.

56 year old Ian Salmon was last seen on the 19th of April.

Police say formal identification's yet to take place - but his next of kin are aware and are being given support from specially trained officers.

They say their thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of Ian's death, although it is not believed to be suspicious and there is no evidence of any third party involvement at this time.

Officers have thanked everyone who shared their appeal and assisted with the search.
