A reward is being offered by the independent charity Crimestoppers as it appeals for help in finding a woman wanted in connection with an attack in Petersfield.

A 68 year old man from Clanfield was waiting to leave Petersfield Heath Common car park in Sussex Road on 2nd December 2020, between 2:15pm and 2:45pm, when he was approached by the suspect, assaulted and robbed of his Patek Phillipe Nautilus watch.

She then fled in a silver car, which drove east on Sussex Road.

The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30-years-old, around 5ft 6ins tall and of slim build with short brown hair. At the time, she was wearing a puffer jacket, trousers, a dark blue hat with a brown bobble and glasses.

Crimestoppers are offering up to £5,000 for anonymous information received exclusively by the charity, which leads to an arrest and conviction.

Emily van der Lely, the charity's Regional Manager, said: "Our charity believes everybody has the right to be safe. There have been reports of similar attacks in the area and we don't want this person and anyone she may be working with to do this again.

"Do you recognise the woman in the e-fit at all, or were you in the area at the time of this attack? Have you seen anybody recently wearing a high-value watch like the one stolen or have you been offered one for sale? Please do the right thing and contact our charity 100% anonymously with any information you have.

"We are appealing to anybody who may know who this suspect is or any person she is working with to tell our charity what you know 100% anonymously. Always. You can call our UK Contact Centre, which is open 24/7, on freephone number 0800 555 111 or you can use our simple and secure anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

"Crimestoppers has been taking crime information since our charity was formed over 33 years ago. Every day over a thousand people trust our charity with their anonymous information. Nobody will know you contacted us, only you and you may be eligible for a reward."

Crimestoppers says information passed directly to police will not qualify for their reward. Only information passed to the charity using their untraceable anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or via 0800 555 111 freephone number will qualify.

It also says computer IP addresses are never traced and no-one will ever know the charity was contacted. For telephone calls, Crimestoppes has no caller line display, no 1471 facility and they say they have never traced a call.
