Disruption to train services in Surrey and Hampshire this weekend

Replacement bus services will be running.

There will be disruption to train services in Surrey and Hampshire this weekend.

Lines in the Leatherhead and Petersfield areas will be affected today (12 September) and tomorrow (13 September).

It is because of maintenance works.

All lines in the Leatherhead area will be closed all weekend

There will be:

  • A revised service running between London Waterloo and Epsom.
  • Buses running between Epsom and Dorking, and Epsom and Effingham Junction
  • A revised service running between Effingham Junction and Guildford.

Lines between Guildford and Petersfield will also be closed today and tomorrow, and between Petersfield and Havant on Sunday.

On Saturday there will be:

  • A revised service running between London Waterloo and Guildford
  • Buses running between Guildford and Petersfield
  • A revised service running between Petersfield and Portsmouth Harbour
  • Extra trains running between London Waterloo, Woking and Portsmouth via Eastleigh and Fareham.

Meanwhile on Sunday:

  • A revised service will be running between London Waterloo and Guildford
  • Buses will be runbning between Guildford and Havant
  • A revised service will be running between Havant and Portsmouth Harbour
  • Anybody travelling between London Waterloo, Clapham Junction or Woking and Portsmouth is asked to use the trains via Eastleigh and Fareham to avoid the buses.
