DogFest returns to Loseley Park this weekend with a programme packed full of fun to celebrate the Festival’s 10th anniversary – and a big birthday wish to welcome more dog breeds than ever before!

From Dog Dancing with Crufts’ Heelwork to Music winner Nicci Hindson and her dog Elsa, to the Big Dog Walk, this year’s event features all the Festival favourites plus new activities including Barn Hunt, a fun and exciting new sport that taps into a dog’s natural instinct to sniff and search, and Dogaoke, so that everyone – dogs included – can sing Happy Birthday!

What began at Loseley Park in 2014 as a small gathering for dog-lovers is now a much-loved canine extravaganza, with events taking place nationwide. Over the past ten years, more than one million dogs and visitors have attended DogFest across 29 different venues.

To mark this milestone, organisers have set a challenge that launches at Loseley Park on 27 April. Ever popular at DogFest are the Breed Meet Ups, giving dog owners an opportunity to get together with other members of the DogFest community and to celebrate their favourite breeds. This year, the goal is for the Best of the Rest category to be the biggest yet, with each of DogFest’s seven venues competing to see which Festival can bring together the most breeds.

CEO and Founder of DogFest, Nicole Cooper, said:

“Loseley Park, let’s get this party started!”

“We are so excited about our 10th anniversary year, and its extra special to be kicking it off here at Loseley Park - where the DogFest journey began.”

“Since our first event, more than 50,000 very soggy doggies have enjoyed splashing around in our Dog Diving activities, there have been over 1,000 winners in our Fun Dog Shows and over 650 miles have been covered in our Big Dog Walks – which is further than walking from John O’Groats to Land’s End!”

She added:

“We're grateful for the support of our community, sponsors, and the countless dog lovers who have made this event a success. Here's to another ten years of celebrating the love we share with our furry friends!"

As part of the celebration, there are also opportunities to get involved online. Organisers would love to see photos and videos of favourite DogFest memories over the past ten years and are inviting people to share content on social media using hashtags #DogFest10 #WalkiesDownMemoryLane

And it wouldn’t be a party without a song and a dance, so dog owners are also invited to share clips of them dancing and singing with their dogs using the #DogFest10 hashtag.

Dogs Trust has been the Official Charity Partner of DogFest since 2021, and the Dogs Trust Village and Dog School Arena feature at all seven DogFest venues. Through DogFest events and through online campaigns, tens of thousands of pounds have been raised for the charity.

DogFest takes place at Loseley Park on 27 and 28 April 2024. Tickets are on sale now. To book and for further information: dogfest.co.uk
