Witness appeal after fail to stop crash in Epsom

A moped driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a fail to stop crash in Epsom this morning (14 August).

Officers were called to reports of a collision between a car and a moped driver at around 12.40am on the High Street in Epsom - between the junction for Waterloo Road and Ashley Road, and the junction for Church Street and East Street.

The road is currently closed, and is expected to remain so for the next few hours.

Officers have located the car that is believed to have been involved in the collision.

Sergeant Ben Grilli said: "We would like to appeal for any information relating to two other cars that were reportedly seen in the area at the time, which we believe may be able to help with our enquires.

"The vehicles have been described as a grey Mini and a black Audi Q5. If anyone in the area has seen cars matching these descriptions, or has any information, please do get in touch."

The moped driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
