Long-time Surrey and Hampshire radio presenter dies
Tribute are being paid following his death this week
Well known radio presenter and producer Fred Marden has died following a long career in Surrey and Hampshire.
The 55 year old, who grew up in Farnborough, and went to Swansea University, worked on and off for more than 20 years at the former Eagle Radio in Guildford - now Greatest Hits Radio Surrey and East Hampshire.
Fred also worked at the former County Sound, as well as at BBC Southern Counties Radio, the former Star FM in Slough, and was most recently heard on local online station Radio Biscuit.
During his career he also taught media - as Head of the School of Media and Creative Arts at the Farnborough College of Technology, at the University of Sunderland where he was Head of of New Media, Television and Radio, and as a Visiting Tutor at the City of Westminster College.
He was also involved in the Farnborough Air Show as radio station manager in 2016/2017.
