Man suffers serious stab wound during robbery in Farnborough

A man has suffered a serious stab wound to his back during a robbery at a Farnborough park.

The incident took place in Queen Elizabeth Park, near the Cabrol Road car park entrance, sometime between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on Sunday 27 February.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was approached by three men who demanded money from him.

They then assaulted him and during that assault the victim sustained a stab wound to the back.

A mobile phone was stolen during the robbery.

The man left the park and drove home, but later attended hospital for treatment.

His injury has been described as serious but not life-threatening.

Police say they are in the early stages of their enquiry and want to establish the circumstances of what happened.
