Keen readers in Surrey and Hampshire will still be able to borrow books from the library during lockdown.

While the actual buildings will not be open to the public, they can still browse and reserve items online.

Both counties are offering click and collect services.

And they are continuing to offer the ReadyReads service, where staff choose books that match your preferences, for collection from your chosen library.

There are also ways in which those who do not have internet access can borrow books.

In Surrey items currently on loan will not be due back before 4 December.

In Hampshire fines for late return of books will be frozen from 5 November.
