Witness appeal after collision in Aldershot on New Year's Eve

The driver was taken to hospital following suspicion of drunk driving

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Aldershot on the morning of New Year’s Eve (31 December).

At around 11.30am, a black Renault Clio was travelling along Thornhill Road when it left the road and collided with roadside furniture and a tree.

A 33-year-old man from Aldershot was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A blood sample was taken and he was released pending the results of a blood test.
