It has been announced which tiers Surrey and East Hampshire will be in when the national lockdown ends on Wednesday 2 December.

The whole of Surrey, as well as East Hampshire, Hart and Rushmoor, will be under tier two restrictions - meaning households will be banned from mixing indoors.

Tier two refers to the high alert level where areas have a higher or rapidly rising level of infections.

It is a step up from the lowest category much of our area saw prior to the national lockdown, when only Elmbridge was in tier two.

What are the rules in tier 2?
