Woman assaulted with horse whip in Laleham

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted with a horse whip Laleham over the weekend.

At around 3pm on Sunday (7 August) the victim entered the River Thames from Thames Side in Laleham Park, near to the campsite.

The victim stroked a horse that was in the river and when she got out of the water she was verbally abused by a man.

He then struck her with a horsewhip several times across her back, arm and leg.

The suspect is described as a White male who was wearing a black top and possibly grey shorts.
