Woman followed and grabbed by man while walking dog in Chertsey

Police are investigating following reports a woman was followed and grabbed by a man while she walked her dog in Chertsey.

The incident happened at around 3:30pm on Sunday 17th April as she walked on Weir Road.

A man approached the victim and begun following her, he then put his arms around her shoulders against her will and repeatedly patted her back, making her feel intimidated.

The suspect is described as of Middle Eastern descent, in his 40s, around 5foot4 and of medium build. He has black hair, brown eyes and a beard.

A 44-year-old man from Addlestone has been arrested in connection to this incident.

Surrey Police are asking for any other women who may have been approached in the Chertsey area by a man matching his description, to get in touch with officers quoting PR/45220040655.
