14-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of murdering man in Crawley

Police have arrested a 14-year-old girl on suspicion of the murder of a man in West Sussex.

The teenager, from Crawley, was detained in London on Wednesday night (October 28th) in connection with the incident in the Three Bridges area of the town.

A 24-year-old man was found seriously injured with stab wounds in Russell Way at around 9pm on Tuesday (October 27th).

He died at the scene despite receiving specialist treatment from paramedics and an air ambulance doctor.

Armed Police were also called out.

Officers detained the 14-year-old girl in south London around 10.20pm on Wednesday on suspicion of murder.

A 21-year-old man from London was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
