Driver in life-threatening condition following West Sussex crash

A driver has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision between two vehicles near Arundel.

The crash, which involved a Peugeot car and a Range Rover, happened on the A29 at Bury Hill, near the Whiteways Lodge roundabout, at around 11.10am on Thursday (August 18th).

The driver was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, while the other driver is being treated at St Richard's Hospital in Chichesterfor minor injuries.

The road was closed temporarily to allow emergency services to respond and for the vehicles involved to be recovered, but has since reopened.

Officers investigating the collision are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened, or who may have captured any relevant dash cam footage.
