Man injured in early-morning hit and run on Brighton seafront

Police say the vehicle failed to stop

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a suspected hit and run on Brighton seafront on Monday morning (August 7th).

Emergency services were called to Kings Road at around 5am.

The 32-year-old, from Maresfield, is understood to have been struck by a car and remained in hospital as of 10am on Monday.

The driver of a grey vehicle did not stop at the scene and police are appealing for information to locate the vehicle.

Officers investigating have urged witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

In particular, they want anyone with relevant CCTV, mobile phone footage, or dashcam footage in the area at the time to come forward.
