Man sought in connection with assault on woman in Worthing

Police are looking to interview a man about an attack on a woman in Worthing.

32-year-old Stephen Best is being sought in connection with a reported offence on Tuesday (March 23rd).

Best is described as white, 5’9”, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo of a bulldog on his right arm.

He is known to frequent the Worthing, Lancing and Pulborough areas of West Sussex as well at the Coddenham area of Suffolk.

Detective Constable Emily Turner of the West Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit said;

"We want to interview Best about an offence of causing actual bodily harm. If you have seen him or have any other information his whereabouts, please contact Sussex Police on 101, or 999 if he is present, quoting serial 769 of 23/03."

They can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The woman and Best are known to each other.
