With many Wiltshire residents anxious to get that all important COVID-19 vaccination, we are being urged to avoid falling victim to an email scam.

The message appears genuine and claims the recipient has been selected to receive a Coronavirus jab.

Wiltshire Trading Standards says the URL leads to a copycat URL, asking for personal information - such as bank details.

Both the organisation and the NHS have stressed the vaccination is FREE and people will NOT be asked for payment from an official contact.

Residents getting dodgy e-mails are now being encouraged to forward them to report@phishing.gov.uk for further investigation.

Anyone who has lost money should inform their bank and report the crime to Action Fraud.
