Man rescued from car after Dundee roundabout crash

The 63 year-old was taken to hospital for treatment

A 63 year-old man has been taken to hospital after a one car crash in Dundee.

Emergency services rushed to Ladywell Roundabout at North Marketgait around 12:30pm, before rescuing him from his vehicle.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service then passed the man to paramedics for treatment.

He was later transported to hospital.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.29pm on Friday, April 12, to reports of a collision involving one car at Ladywell Roundabout in Dundee.

"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene.

"Firefighters extracted one casualty from the car and handed them into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
