19-year-old motorcyclist hospitalised following crash near Kinross

The teenager was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee with serious injuries

A 19-year-old motorcyclist has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a crash on the B966 between Kinross and Kelty.

The crash happened at around 8:20pm on Wednesday, 6th March 2024, at the junction with the B9097 at Gairney Bridge.

The incident involved a grey Audi A6 and a blue Yamaha YZF R125.

Emergency services responded and the teenage motorcyclist was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The road was closed while crash investigation work took place. It re-opened at around 4am on Thursday, 7th March 2024.

The Audi driver and passenger were uninjured.

Sergeant Steve Livesey said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and anyone with information, including dash-cam footage, that could assist with our enquiries are asked to get in touch.”
