Murder investigation launched after Thornaby collision

A murder investigation's been launched following a collision in Thornaby.

Cleveland Police were called to Myton Way in Ingleby Barwick at around 11:35pm on Friday to reports of a fail to stop collision.

A 60-year-old man passed away at the scene.

His family is being supported by specialist officers.

Two others were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Myton Way remained closed overnight between the Rings and Queen Elizabeth Way as officers continued their investigation.

Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses, and CCTV and dashcam footage, especially from anyone who saw a white van travelling in the area at the time.
