Covent Garden Christmas Tree cut from Solihull farm
Lights will be switched on from 9 November
London's famous Covent Garden Christmas Tree has been taken from Woods Farm in Solihull once again this year.
The handpicked tree was felled today (Friday 29 Oct) at Woods Farm, which also supplies Downing Street and Windsor Castle with Christmas trees.
It will then be wrapped up and sent south before being erected in the heart of Covent Garden in the country's capital.
The selected fir tree stands at around 55ft, and will be seen by families coming together to enjoy shopping, dining and other Christmas activities in Covent Garden.
Once up, the tree will be decorated with over 30,000 lights that are set to be switched on come the 9th of November.
