Extinction Rebellion put pressure on local authorities in Leamington
They want to make cycling safer in the area so more people will ditch their cars.

Local authorities in Leamington, Warwickshire are under pressure to improve cycle routes after an Extinction Rebellion demonstration there.
The group were joined by families and local councillors who are concerned about the levels of pollution being caused by vehicles.
Extinction Rebellion organised a mass bike ride, 8 kilometers in total, to demonstrate the need for safer cycle routes. The action caused major traffic delays in the area for most of the day.
Patrick Hughes, one of the XR Warwickshire organisers tells us the route included stops where cyclists had previously been involved in accidents.
One family living near a particularly busy road joined the protest. They say if cycling was made safer in the area, more people would be inclined to ride their bikes.
One mum says, "we just want it to be a way that the whole family gets out and it just become a way of life really and a norm..."
