Roadworks planned for Wells

They'll take 2 weeks to completed

Author: Sharon Plummer

Essential work will start on Monday 7 December to carry out drainage improvement work on Mill Road, Wells-next-the-sea. The work will take two weeks to complete subject to suitable weather conditions, and finish Friday 18 December.

The work, which is designed to solve an issue with standing water at the location, will see the existing drainage repaired and improved.

To carry out the work safely it will be necessary to close Mill Road to all through traffic at this location during the work, for a length of 90m from a point 10m west of Clubbs Lane.

A fully signed official diversion route for Mill Road will be in place while these works are in progress.

Vehicle access to businesses and homes within the limits of the works will be maintained from one end of the closure at any time.

The County Council would like to thank people for their patience while these works to improve drainage in this area are carried out.

The work which will cost £20,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community & Environmental Services Department and their contractors.
