Two people have been rescued after getting cut off by the tide on the sand banks off Wells Beach.

They called for help after the incoming tide filled the low ground behind them on Monday afternoon (28 September).

Humber Coastguard requested Wells RNLI to launch, who sent their inshore vessel to the scene.

Both people were safely picked up and brought back to the boathouse via the main harbour channel, where they were met by Wells Coastguards.
