West Norfolk's MP says he agrees with the government's decision to keep the county in tier two.

Yesterday, Matt Hancock revealed many parts of the South and East of England would be moving up into tier three, but Norfolk was not included.

Only one area, Herefordshire, was moved down from tier two to tier one.

James Wild told us why he supported the decision.

He said:

"Of course I want to see Norfolk move into the lowest possible tier when the data supports that, but at the moment the case rate is above 100 per 100,000 people. It's increased slightly in West Norfolk is actually higher than that, so we can't move into tier one at the moment.

"I appreciate the difficulties that this causes for hospitality businesses in particular, in what should be a busy time of year, but by continuing to follow the rules and the guidance, we can help get the virus under control.

"This position will be reviewed again shortly."
