UPDATE 10AM: 10 fire engines remain at the scene. Our reporter Hannah Norbury is at the scene, where smoke can still be seen at the site:

UPDATE 8AM: West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue now say the fire at a three story warehouse in Bradford is under control.

At least 20 people have been evacuated from nearby flats and Co-op Academy Princeville has closed its doors to students today.

The following roads are currently closed around the building:

  • Legrams Lane
  • Sheabridge Road at junction with Legrams Lane
  • Longside Lane at junction with Woodhead Road
  • Summerville Road

5AM: 18 fire engines are at the scene of a huge fire at warehouse in Bradford which broke out in the early hours of this morning.

Fire crews arrived at the blaze on Legrams Lane at around 2.45am. The service says the affected area of the building is approximately 100 metres by 20 metres.

Residents are being urged to keep their windows and doors closed and a number of nearby flats have been evacuated.

Bradford Council is continuing to urge residents in the Shearbridge area to keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke.
