Boy charged with having a knife at Aberdeenshire school

A 14-year-old boy has been charged after a disturbance involving a knife at a school in Peterhead.

The police were called on Monday afternoon after a brawl outside the school building.

A bladed weapon was allegedly taken from one of the boys.

Nobody was hurt, and one teenager has been reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.

The issue has been in spotlight ever since the death of Bailey Gwynne, who was stabbed to death at his school in Aberdeen in 2015.
