A school in Halifax has said they're concerned about staff shortages caused by coronavirus- ahead of more restrictions relaxing tomorrow (27 January).

At Light Cliffe Academy, near Halifax- 10% of their staff are currently off.

Ross Wood-Ives is the headteacher- and says it's not just Covid-19 among adults that's the problem.

Ross Wood-Ives said:

"We have a high number of pupils that have tested positive, with 30 students being made of today.

"It's caused issues for students having to switch to remote learning and staff having to set that work in addition to teaching their usual timetables.

In terms of staffing, the picture is better than it was last week. We had 17% staff absent which has now reduced to around 10% this week."
