Leeds Expecting Bumper Boxing Day Sales Crowds

Trinity alone predicts 60,000 visitors today

Bargain hunters are swarming on shops in Leeds today. It follows a 29% increase in custom at Trinity Leeds on Black Friday compared with 2013. Kevin Duffy's the general manager of the centre says they're expecting some early risers in an estimated footfall of 60,000 today, "Last year Next opened at 6am and we had queues in the malls from 4am. That's the same this year, all of our retailers run winter sales, there's a lot of good bargains out there. You'll see savings upto 60-70% in a lot of the shops. People demand savings in the January sales and that's what we give them."
