Morrisons bids to save convenience store McColl's

The Bradford-based supermarket has put forward a last-ditch bid to takeover the chain

Bradford-based supermarket Morrisons have put forward a last -ditch deal to try to save McColl's from collapse.

The convenience store chain could call in administrations today, and employs around 16-thousand people.

It has more than 1000 branches across the UK, 200 of them trading under the Morrisons Daily name.

We understand the proposals put forward by Morrisons protect the pension scheme, and would preserve most staff.
