Teenager dies and young boy critically injured after two crashes in Leeds

They happened at Swillington Common on Wednesday and Boston Spa on Saturday

A teenage woman's died after a crash in Leeds earlier this week, whilst a boy who's just 10 is fighting for his life in hospital after a collision at Boston Spa.

The 18 year old died in hospital on Friday (2nd September) after a crash at Swillington Common in Leeds on Wednesday (31st August).

She was in one of two cars that crashed on Selby Road and was airlifted to hospital by helicopter, where she sadly passed away.

Two people from the other car were seriously injured.

The second incident saw a car hit a van in the hard shoulder of the A1 near Boston Spa early on Saturday morning, critically injuring the young boy.

Two adults who were in the same vehicle have serious injuries say West Yorkshire Police.
