Football fans across West Yorkshire have been celebrating England's historic win over Denmark in their Euro 2020 semi-final last night.

It's the first time the national side have reached the final of a major tournament in 55 years.

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips was part of the squad get England a step closer to winning their first major trophy since the 1966 World Cup.

Phillips changed his shirt after the final whistle, to pay tribute to his Granny Val, who died earlier this year from Covid-19 (pictured above).

He's the first ever Leeds United player to reach the final of the European Championship, and alone ran 15km during the semi-final.

So far, Phillips has run the third-longest distance out of all players in the tournament.

People out in Leeds told us: "I think England controlled the game really well, thoroughly deserved the win, and congratulations to them."

"Unreal, absolutely fantastic. Football's coming home again"

"It's going to be tough but I think they've got enough depth where I think they can go on and win it. Definitely."
