A chartered accountants firm from the city is uncorking the 27 litre bottle of Rioja at their Christmas party. Staff at Sous Le Nez on Quebec Street have had the bottle stood for a week to let it settle before it's served.

The bottle - costing £1,500 - will be opened at 12pm with the aid of two bottle openers. Due to its size, it'll have to be pumped rather than poured.

General manager of Sous Le Nez, Franck Orsat, said:

  • “We are looking forward to the momentous occasion of opening this unique bottle of wine, which has been in the restaurant for many years."*
