Flamingo Land Resort in North Yorkshire are set to release a second Eastern black rhino in Tanzania as part of their conservation project.

The team released Olmoti, along with four more black rhinos from other European zoos, at Rwanda's Akagera National Part last summer.

This time, they're sending eight year old Chanua to Tanzania.

Chanua joined Flamingo Land in 2016 after being transferred from Chester Zoo. She was born there in October 2012.

A spokesperson for Flamingo Land Resort, said: "After successfully releasing our beloved Olmoti into the National Park in Rwanda last summer, we are about to repeat the feat.

"This time our eight years old rhino will be moving to Tanzania, the home of Flamingo Land's conservation project, Udzungwa Forest Project.

"Chanua will embark on her exciting journey to her new home soon."

She was brought to Flamingo Land to aid efforts in the global breeding and conservation programme.
