Police appeal for witnesses following a serious collision in York
A motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries
Police are appealing for information following a serious collision on the A19 in York.
It happened at 7.48pm on Friday (15 March) and involved a blue Ford Ranger pickup truck and a grey Yamaha motorcycle on Shipton Road, near to the junction with Howard Drive.
The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.
The road was closed for seven hours while the police investigated the scene and to allow the vehicles involved to be recovered.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dash camera footage that could assist their investigation to get in touch.
