Police launch a CCTV appeal following an assault in York

Police have released CCTV images of people they would like to speak to, following an assault in York city centre.

It happened at around 1am on Sunday 18th February in the Nessgate Corner area, and involved two men assaulting another man by repeatedly punching and kicking him.

The victim sustained significant swelling to his head and ankle and a small fracture to his hand.

Officers are urging those who recognise the people pictured on CCTV to come forward.
