Man and woman arrested after police stop vehicle near Pocklington
It happened in the early hours of Friday morning on York Road close to Shiptonthorpe
A man and a woman, both from Doncaster, have been arrested after an 'intelligence led vehicle stop' by police near Pocklington.
They stopped the vehicle on York Road close to Shiptonthorpe just before 1am on Friday morning.
The 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and the 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of cannabis and theft of a motor vehicle.
Following a vehicle search, cannabis and three number plates were found and seized.
Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the number plates.
