It's because of the speed of the roll-out.

People in York waiting for their second dose of a coronavirus vaccine are being warned to "watch out for your invite".

The invitation to the city's vaccination site at the Askham Bar Park and Ride could come early, according to the company running the centre, Nimbuscare.

It's because of the speed of the roll-out of second doses, with 31,000 administered at the Askham Bar site.

Across North Yorkshire, 140,000 second doses have been given, with 57,000 of those in the City of York CCG Area.

Askham Bar became Yorkshire's first mass vaccination site in January 2021, when it expanded to offer jabs to anyone living within a 45-minute drive.

The Park and Ride site had been delivering Covid-19 vaccines on a smaller scale prior to this, as well as flu vaccines.

Staff at the site also gave out North Yorkshire's first Moderna vaccine earlier this month.
