Air Ambulance lands on Scarborough beach

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance has landed on the beach in Scarborough.

It happened shortly after 9.30 this morning on South Bay.

One person was treated by paramedics, before being taken to hospital by road ambulance.

Here is a statement from Yorkshire Air Ambulance:

"At 09.39am we dispatched one of our helicopters to a medical incident in Scarborough. Our Paramedics treated one patient and travelled with the patient by road to the hospital."
