Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team have been to called out to rescue a woman who had slipped on a trail south of Scarborough.

Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team have been to called out to rescue a woman who had slipped on a trail south of Scarborough.

It happened on Boxing Day (Saturday 26th December) at around 1.50pm on the Cleveland Way National Trail.

The Mountain Rescue Team were called to a family group by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service who had been walking when one woman slipped and got a lower leg injury.

A crew were on scene treating her injury but the team's equipment and help were requested to take her back to a waiting ambulance on the road.

Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team say they were deployed for two hours and 15 minutes.
