A Filey resident has been ordered by court to pay back more than £1m under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Anthony Kenneth Davey, 50, is known by some locally as "Bradford Tony".

Police say this is related to various mortgage fraud and money laundering offences committed in West Yorkshire.

The Regional Economic Crime Unit investigated his finances, and a court order was made for him to pay back the £1,123,648.97 he had accumulated from his criminal activities.

Davey only had £62,116.48 to pay back at the time the order was made, so he still owes £1,061,532.49.

If you know of any new assets that Davey may have, please contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or make report online. The reference number to quote is CS1705-16268.
