A walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinic is being set up in Bridlington today.

Any adult over 18 can turn up and ‘grab a jab’ at Bridlington Medical Centre, Station Road, from 1pm to 5pm.

The clinic will be delivering Pfizer for both 1st and 2nd dose vaccinations. This session is available for anyone who has not had their vaccine yet or those people who received their first dose over 8 weeks ago, are still waiting for their second dose and would like the convenience of popping in for their second dose.

People who attend a walk-in clinic for their first dose will have their vaccination record updated online and will then be able to book in their second dose appointment using the national booking system. People who have pre-booked their second dose on the national booking system can cancel it.

If people would rather book a timed appointment they can still do so by booking on the National Booking System - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ or ringing 119.

Dr Anne Jeffreys, Local GP and Chair of East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group said:

“I would urge anyone in the Bridlington area who has yet to take up the vaccination offer to come along to the Medical Centre on Thursday and get the life-saving jab. I would also strongly advise that having the second dose is vital to getting longer lasting and maximum protection offered by the vaccines, with recent research also showing they are highly effective against the Delta/Indian strain of the virus.”
