Man comes off motorbike on A171 near Robin Hood's Bay

A man has come off his motorbike on the A171 near Robin Hood's Bay.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle collision at around 12.45pm today (Wednesday 9th March) close to Bridge Holm Lane involving the motorcyclist believed to have fallen down a bank whilst negotiating a steep bend.

Firefighters from Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby helped in transferring the man to an ambulance who took him to Scarborough Hospital.

The crew also moved the motorcycle to a safe position.
