Man jailed after incident involving mass group fighting in Whitby

A man has been jailed for two years and nine months after an incident in Whitby.

It happened along the seafront in January last year and involved a mass group who were fighting.

32-year-old Ross Jameson, who is from Lawson Close in Middlesbrough, admitted to causing grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.

He also has to pay £181 in fines and costs.
