At the start of the year, as the third lockdown began, the number was above 40 but it has been reducing ever since.
The figures were confirmed at a meeting of North Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum this morning.
The final two coronavirus patients have now been discharged.
The borough’s seven-day coronavirus infection rate per 100,000 people has also fallen and is now at 25, down two on Monday.
Residents were told that despite the good news on hospital numbers that they still had to be vigilant when it came to social distancing.
Amanda Bloor, chief accountable officer at North Yorkshire CCG, told the meeting:
“We do know that complacency is creeping in and it is understandable but we need to collectively make sure that we don’t become complacent.
“The consistent messages around hands, face, space and fresh air are really important, particularly as we move to mixing together indoors as we move across the roadmap.”
Across North Yorkshire 23 people remain in the county’s hospitals with coronavirus, with five patients in Intensive Care.
Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week for anyone with symptoms to get tested.
