We've been talking about staycations a lot recently, but how will Scarborough and Whitby's MP be spending his Summer holiday?

With certain travel restrictions still set to be in place - and uncertainty about travelling abroad - many are looking for a break in the UK.

Robert Goodwill is one of them: "Why would anyone want to go abroad when you've got the Yorkshire Coast? I've not booked anything, but we've always loved coming to the coast.

"It's one of the beauties of being the MP for Scarborough and Whitby that you can do a day's work in the office, and then you can enjoy the evening along the coast.

"I'm very much looking forward to getting back out onto the North Yorkshire moors and getting to those pubs, restaurants and places that we all miss. I've got a shortlist of places that I want to get back to soon, to not only support those businesses but to enjoy the excellent tourism offer.

"I think if there are restrictions on international travel, then I think we will benefit from that on the Yorkshire Coast in terms of a tourism boom this Summer".

International travel rules will be reviewed, with May 17th targeted as the earliest possible date for a foreign holiday.

Step Four of the UK' roadmap will begin no earlier than June 21st. On that date, Prime Minister Boris Johnson says: “we will aim to remove all legal limits on social contact and on weddings and other life events, we will reopen everything up to and including nightclubs and enable large events such as theatre performances above the limits of step three – potentially using testing to reduce the risk of infection”.
