Three men have been charged with the production of cannabis near Bridlington.

They were arrested yesterday (Sunday 13th September) at Carnaby Industrial Estate.

Two of the men were arrested as they left the building and a further man was located hiding within the premises by police dog Havoc.

Humberside Police say the officers, acting on information, found a large scale cannabis factory within the building containing 1400 growing plants and equipment such as lamps and transformers.

The three men were all charged with the production of cannabis and are due to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today.

Driffield Neighbourhood Inspector Rob Cocker said:

"The discovery and dismantling of this significant cannabis grow means that a large quantity of class B drugs have been stopped from entering the local drugs market, making the communities of Bridlington, Driffield and the surrounding villages safer.

“Anyone with information about the production or supply of drugs in their community can get in touch with us on our non-emergency number 101.

“We investigate all reports and will continue to take enforcement action where needed to make our communities safer for everyone.”
