With The X Factor taking a break and Britain's Got Talent being postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it's been a little while since we've seen a Simon Cowell show on prime time TV here in the UK.

But, that's all about to change as ITV have confirmed a brand new show from the 62-year-old, called Walk The Line, and the show is now officially underway!

Here's everything you need to know about the new show...

When is Walk The Line on?

Walk The Line aired on ITV and ITV Hub from Sunday 12th December at 8pm, continuing on the 13th, and the rest of the week, every night at the same time.

What is Walk The Line?

Walk The Line, which has been co-produced and co-developed by Syco Entertainment and Lifted Entertainment, is a six-part series which will debut later in the year, and now the host has been revealed!

The brand new series will allow musical variety acts the chance to win a life changing amount of money, but in a plot twist from traditional TV talent shows, on Walk The Line, talent alone isn't enough to win the money.

According to ITV, contestants will need 'nerves of steel' to decide whether to cash out or 'walk the line'.

Who are the judges on Walk The Line?

Similarly to Simon's other popular talent shows, there will be a panel of judges to give their professional opinion as contestants take to the stage to perform.

Although Simon himself was originally due to appear on the panel, it was confirmed in November that Take That singer Gary Barlow will replace him.

Simon said: "This is a situation where I have decided it is right for me to focus on my role as the creator and producer as we build up to the hugely exciting launch of the first series of our new show, Walk The Line.

"On that basis, I am thrilled that Gary is joining the panel. Gary's musical pedigree is second to none - and we have known each other a long time now - so I am delighted he is picking up the baton for me for the first series of Walk The Line. I know he will do a fantastic job."

Award-winning singer Alesha Dixon, comedy icon Dawn French and global music legend Craig David will be joining Gary on the star-studded panel.

What channel is Walk The Line on?

Just like the majority of Simon's other shows, Walk The Line will air on ITV.

Who hosts Walk The Line?

The lovely Maya Jama, who recently presented this year's series of Glow Up, will present the new series of Walk The Line.

Maya Jama said: “If someone said to me, describe your dream job. It would be this! I literally couldn’t be more excited to be working with Syco, Lifted Entertainment and the incredible team at ITV on Walk The Line.”

The popular presenter later shared a snap of herself on Instagram with Simon, telling fans: 'GOOD NEWS GANG😭🤯😆 From watching talent shows made by this man growing up to hosting one myself on big bloody ITV is honestly a dream🥺 I don’t wana get all deep on here but the journey has been a mad one & I am so so grateful for the opportunity and excited for this next chapter 🙏🏽 Walk The Line .. coming soooon .. brb gna scream off my balcony'. What has been said about Walk The Line?

ITV say of the show's format: "The top two performers of the evening then face a nail-biting decision in their bid to be crowned champion - to either ‘cash out’ with a tempting cash prize, or Walk The Line and play on. Should they stay in and top the leaderboard, they will then progress to the next show, facing a different cast of performers.

"The longer the performers can stay in the contest, the bigger the prize pot, with a high stake ‘stay or play’ moment at the end of each show. Each night, the reigning champion will be offered an even higher cash out prize - will they take the money and leave the competition, or Walk The Line and bet on themselves…?"
